Hello All,
Today I received two local related emails.
First one from the MEC with the Treasury Trustee Policy. Personally I have no issue with the policy itself, I am sure I can easily live within the code.
Second email is a little different. The Elections Committee emailed all candidates and said they will not be sending emails to the membership on behalf of the candidates. Our only form of communication to the membership is via this forum.
Prior to this decision I have sent and requested an email to be published by the committee and sent to the membership.
This is my response to the Elections Committee:
“ Hey Guys
I’m not sure I agree with this position taken by the election committee. I believed it was part of the committees function to disseminate information to the membership. Not all candidates have access to the mailing list nor should they, the election committee is the conduit for the candidates. It is a well known fact that the forum does not have full membership sign up, and is an ineffective form of communication to the membership. This action is holding back information from the membership in my view.
I suggest that until the matter is resolved no candidate including the MEC should send any emails to the pilot group for any reason.
I do not see this as a fair or just action.
I am very disappointed by this news.
Candidate
Dave Mchugh”
I would like to hear the membership’s opinion please
